Job description
The Senior Private Credit Manager is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing, and monitoring private credit fund and co-investment opportunities across global markets, primarily North America, Western Europe, and Australasia. The role requires building and managing a diversified portfolio across direct lending, distressed debt, specialty finance, and structured credit. This position combines strategic investment thinking with rigorous financial and credit analysis, supporting EIAās long-term investment objectives and contributing to the UAEās economic diversification goals. The individual will collaborate with internal teams, external fund managers, advisors, and regulators, while mentoring junior staff and supporting Emiratization objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement private credit fund and co-investment strategies aligned with EIAās asset allocation framework.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in private credit markets through research and analysis.
- Build and manage a portfolio across direct lending, distressed debt, specialty finance, and structured credit.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial modeling, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
- Prepare and present detailed investment memoranda and recommendations to investment committees.
- Negotiate investment terms in collaboration with legal and risk management teams.
- Perform in-depth credit analysis of borrowers, portfolios, capital structures, and covenants.
- Apply advanced risk assessment methodologies to manage credit, market, and liquidity risks.
- Monitor portfolio performance, exposures, and compliance, and develop workout strategies where required.
- Stay abreast of evolving regulatory frameworks impacting private credit investments.
- Collaborate with other investment teams across asset classes to develop integrated theses.
- Mentor junior team members and support UAE National talent development.
- Represent EIA professionally in external investment forums and discussions.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in private credit/private equity, leveraged finance, or investment banking.
- Track record of successful fund investing, manager selection, or co-investments.
- Strong expertise in private credit markets including direct lending, distressed debt, and structured credit.
- Proven ability to prepare investment memoranda and conduct rigorous financial and credit analysis.
- Advanced ability in financial modeling, stress testing, and risk assessment.
- Experience working in endowments, family offices, consultants, or similar institutional settings.
- Ability to work under pressure in a small, high-performing investment team.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for dealing with fund managers, banks, and external advisors.
- In-depth understanding of global regulatory frameworks related to private credit.
