Job description
The Closing & Reporting Manager at Lucidya in Riyadh is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, leading month-end and year-end closing activities, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and preparing financial statements in compliance with IFRS / GAAP and company policies. The role ensures timely financial reporting, supports audits with schedules and documentation, analyzes variances between actuals and budgets, and ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The position requires collaboration with AP, AR, Payroll, and other departments to resolve discrepancies, and reporting directly to the CFO. The manager contributes to the integrity of financial data, provides actionable insights, and ensures adherence to reporting regulations across geographies as Lucidya scales operations.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and provisions
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts including bank, AP, AR, and intercompany accounts
- Ensure accurate classification of expenses and revenues
- Support the FP&A team in preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS / GAAP
- Assist in audit processes by providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents
- Monitor, analyze, and report variances between actuals and budgets
- Ensure company-wide compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Coordinate with AP, AR, Payroll, and other departments to resolve discrepancies
Experience & skills
- 10+ years of experience in general ledger or financial accounting/reporting roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with professional certifications (ACCA/CPA) preferred
- Proficiency in accounting principles (IFRS / GAAP)
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or NetSuite
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and complex formulas
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data and reporting
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate financial information
- Ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders across cultures and seniorities
- Experience in audit support and compliance with financial regulations
