The Field Specialist - Directional Drilling at Baker Hughes is responsible for providing on-site technical support and problem resolution for moderately complex directional drilling operations. The role involves applying advanced knowledge of wellbore placement, collision avoidance, hydraulics, and torque & drag simulations while supervising BHA handling and related operations. The specialist develops proficiency in Logging While Drilling (LWD) and Directional Drilling services, ensuring effective application of well construction technologies such as hydraulic expandable reamers and circulation subs. The role requires reporting on drilling services portfolio activities, facilitating continuous improvement, collaborating with field teams, and completing advanced technical training and site development programs. The position emphasizes operational excellence, technical expertise, and adherence to best practices in directional drilling while supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality field operations.
