Job description
Major building and hospitality developments in Riyadh need their wet utility systems supervised closely, and that's the core of this Senior Utilities Engineer role. You'll supervise and monitor construction of potable water, irrigation, sewerage, stormwater drainage and firefighting water networks, keeping installation aligned with approved designs and authority requirements. Workmanship quality gets monitored constantly, with inspections, testing and commissioning processes witnessed as installations move forward. Shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, material submissions and technical proposals all get reviewed, coordinating with civil, structural, architectural, MEP and landscape teams to resolve interface issues. Quality assurance runs through inspection records, testing reports and material certifications, with non-conformities identified and corrective actions verified. Pressure testing, leakage testing, flushing, disinfection and flow testing all get overseen, confirming utility systems meet performance requirements before handover. Regular site inspections track construction quality, progress and compliance, flagging delays, risks and constraints before they become bigger problems. Client representatives, contractors, consultants and utility authorities all coordinate through this role on wet utility matters. Daily, weekly and monthly reports document construction progress, inspections, testing results and technical reviews for audits and project closeout.
