Job description
The MEA Trade & Working Capital Financial Institutions Sales β Senior Associate is responsible for supporting regional growth initiatives within the Trade & Working Capital division of J.P. Morgan Payments. Based in Dubai, the role focuses on driving revenue generation and pipeline development across Middle East and Africa Financial Institution (FI) clients. The position combines strategic trade finance sales, client origination, product positioning, and transaction execution oversight. The Senior Associate works closely with the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Sales team, Core Trade Product teams, and distribution partners to deliver traditional trade products such as Documentary Letters of Credit, Draft Discounting, and Trade Loans, alongside innovative digital trade solutions. The role requires strong analytical capability, deep understanding of credit and regulatory frameworks, and the ability to structure and implement high-quality transactions that optimize liquidity, mitigate risk, and enhance working capital solutions for clients.

Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the growth of MEA FI trade revenues by developing and executing a regional trade strategy.
- Drive new business pipeline and increase revenue from existing FI clients through innovative and traditional trade solutions.
- Collaborate with FIG Sales and product teams on client origination, positioning, and transaction implementation.
- Coordinate with distribution teams on sell-down strategies to manage credit lines effectively.
- Partner with Core Trade Product teams on new product approvals across jurisdictions.
- Develop in-depth country, industry, and client knowledge to identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct balance sheet monitoring including portfolio reviews, trade committee approvals, and Loan Return Calculator (LRC) submissions.
- Ensure high-quality execution of trade transactions while maintaining strong client satisfaction standards.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders across product, risk, operations, and client service teams to ensure alignment and delivery.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in Trade Finance sales, particularly with Financial Institutions in MEA.
- Expert knowledge of core Trade Finance products and their structuring.
- Strong understanding of credit risk, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Fluency in Arabic and French is preferred.
