Job description
Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea will be a nature-focused resort within the Kingdomâs Red Sea Project. With 361 rooms, 11 dining concepts, overwater restaurants, a spa, and proximity to an 18-hole championship golf course, the resort is poised to redefine luxury and sustainability. The Director of Operations will oversee the Rooms and Food & Beverage divisions, manage performance and profitability, lead departmental strategy, and ensure an elevated guest experience. This role includes full pre-opening responsibilities and requires strategic, hands-on leadership with a strong understanding of luxury operations and a focus on sustainability and digital innovation.

Key responsibilities
- Has responsibility for the overall operations of the Hotelâs Rooms and Food & Beverage Divisions including the development and performance management of employees.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the different hotel areas, optimizing profits while ensuring the highest level of service quality is provided to hotel guests.
- Set, plan and direct the operational departments to achieve and overpass agreed goals of gross operating profit, Guest Satisfaction, Brand Consistency and Employee Engagement.
- Support the hotelâs annual budgeting process and adhere to Accor established guidelines.
- Assist in managing the hotelâs budget and ensuring that expenses incurred are within budget and in line with the Brand established guidelines.
- Lead and guide their reporting and management teams in driving the hotel to achieve its performance goals.
- Be present to personally welcome key residents and patrons.
- Communicate in an effective and timely manner with ExCom and the Managing Director on matters which require the attention of ExCom and the Managing Director.
Experience & skills
- Proven track record in leading luxury hotel operations, with a deep understanding of both Rooms and Food & Beverage divisions.
- Pre-opening experience highly advantageous.
- Strategic and hands-on leadership approach, acting as a role model in delivering elegant and sophisticated service.
- Lead by example in driving employee engagement, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to optimize revenue streams and manage costs effectively.
- Executive presence â self-assured, exuding quiet confidence and humility.
- Ability to adapt and innovate, integrating sustainability and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Deep understanding of the local market, global luxury trends, and brand positioning.
