Job description
The Lead Mechanical Engineer at Egis Dubai is responsible for leading and managing complex mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. This senior role requires technical expertise, innovative design thinking, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards. The position involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders, contributing to high-quality, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure solutions in line with Egisā global engineering standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering projects from conception through to successful delivery
- Develop and implement innovative mechanical solutions for complex engineering challenges
- Perform detailed mechanical calculations and system analyses to optimize performance
- Ensure quality assurance and control of all engineering deliverables
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, civil engineers, and project managers, to achieve project goals
- Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and design reviews to communicate engineering solutions effectively
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing
- Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends, standards, and regulations
- Contribute to the improvement and standardization of engineering processes and methodologies
- Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure efficient delivery
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās or Masterās degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience leading complex mechanical engineering projects
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical system design, HVAC, MEP, or related areas
- Hands-on experience in mechanical calculations, design optimization, and system analysis
- Experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients and teams
- Familiarity with international engineering standards and regulations
- Innovative mindset with the ability to drive process and design improvements
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are advantageous but not mandatory
