Job description
The Senior Associate - HR Operations at Chalhoub Group is responsible for implementing day-to-day HR operational activities, handling employee relations, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and labor laws in the GCC. This role includes administering attendance and leave systems, managing medical insurance claims, processing work visas and labor contracts, and handling platforms such as GOSI, Mudad, Qiwa, and Absher. The position requires preparation of employee orientation kits, calculation of absenteeism for settlements, and issuing or canceling access cards in line with security policies. The individual will act as a liaison for employee inquiries related to HR procedures, providing high-quality internal customer service and ensuring the smooth execution of all HR operations within the organization. Working within a globally recognized luxury retail group, the role demands attention to detail, strict confidentiality, and strong interpersonal communication.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Follow HR policies, processes, and SOPs to ensure consistent and controlled execution of tasks
- Administer employee attendance, leaves, vacations, and absenteeism records
- Ensure compliance with internal personnel rules and GCC labor laws
- Follow up on medical certificates and absence forms for leave validation
- Handle medical insurance claims and liaise with insurance providers for reimbursements
- Issue and cancel employee access cards in accordance with security protocols
- Prepare welcome kits for orientation sessions and support new joiner onboarding
- Calculate absenteeism figures for end-of-service settlements
- Respond to employee inquiries about HR policies and internal procedures
- Manage work visa and labor contract processing
- Operate and update governmental HR platforms including GOSI, Mudad, Qiwa, and Absher
Experience & skills
- 3ā5 years of experience in HR operations and Government Relations
- Strong understanding of GCC labor laws and HR compliance practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using governmental HR platforms such as GOSI, Mudad, Qiwa, and Absher
- Experience with medical insurance administration and employee onboarding processes
- Ability to manage multiple HR tasks with accuracy and discretion
