Job description
Senior leadership and the client on KBR's offshore VAP project in Abu Dhabi depend on accurate, timely reporting, and this Senior Project Engineer leads the department reports and dashboards that provide it. Dashboards are built and maintained in Excel and Power BI, with AI-assisted tools adding automation and better visualisation. Data arrives from many stakeholders and has to be consolidated into integrated, actionable reports. Weekly and monthly progress reports include variance analysis and forecasting summaries, checked against baseline schedules with the Planning & Governance team. Resource planning is monitored, and deviations get root cause analysis. Every report must meet client standards and contractual obligations, supported by a structured archive of past reports, change logs and audit trails. Findings are presented to project managers, senior leadership and external stakeholders, and tailored packages support reviews and audits. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in engineering or project management and 8 to 10 years in project reporting, planning or controls in oil and gas, with proven experience on large capital projects and proficiency in Power BI and SAP or similar ERP.

- Ensure all reports comply with client standards and contractual obligations
- Maintain a structured repository of historical reports, change logs and audit trails
- Present findings to project managers, senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Support project reviews, audits and stakeholder meetings with tailored reporting packages
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
- Bring 8 to 10 years of experience in project reporting, planning or controls within oil and gas
- Demonstrate proven reporting expertise on large-scale capital projects
- Use advanced Excel, Power BI and SAP or similar ERP systems proficiently
- Analyse complex project data with strong problem-solving skills
- Communicate and present findings clearly to senior audiences
- Keep reporting accurate through close attention to detail and data integrity
