Job description
Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning efforts. The role involves delivering monthly reports and executive-level presentations, building business cases for new initiatives, and collaborating with operational and clinical teams to align financial and business strategies. This position demands a strategic thinker with strong financial modeling skills, advanced use of ERP and BI tools, and the ability to influence at senior levels. The successful candidate will support data-driven decision-making through accurate and insightful financial analysis.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting for the organization.
- Provide in-depth financial insights and recommendations to support executive-level strategic decisions.
- Build and evaluate business cases for new services, expansions, and capital investments, ensuring strong ROI justifications.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to ensure financial planning aligns with operational strategies.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports, variance analysis, and strategic performance insights to senior leadership and the Board.
- Drive improvements in the financial reporting process through automation and process optimization.
- Support the development and preparation of board materials, including dashboards, executive summaries, and graphical data presentations.
- Monitor financial KPIs, analyze performance trends, and identify actionable insights to optimize cost structures and profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and results orientation.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 8ā12 years of relevant experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or financial consulting.
- Minimum of 3ā5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably within healthcare, corporate services, or capital-intensive industries.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of using data to influence business decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Experience with enterprise financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Expertise in using business intelligence platforms like Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and dashboard development.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial KPIs, and capital allocation strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior decision-makers across various departments.
