Job description
The Fulfilment Operations Lead at Panda Retail Company is responsible for directing and coordinating fulfilment operations across multiple stores in the East region, ensuring optimal customer service and profitability. The role includes full P&L responsibility and strategic leadership of inbound, outbound, and returns operations. The incumbent will manage talent development, training, audits, and implementation of centres of excellence, ensuring compliance with SOPs for security and product loss prevention. They oversee Last Mile and freelancer delivery operations, including onboarding, performance tracking, and escalation management. The role also involves monitoring and optimizing delivery routes, communicating with customer care, troubleshooting operational issues, and planning for peak periods to maintain adequate resources. Continuous improvement, performance review, and implementation of best practices across fulfilment operations are key to success.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate fulfilment operations across multiple stores in the East region
- Manage inbound, outbound, and returns operations within designated fulfilments
- Direct P&L management and operational strategy to ensure business profitability
- Train, monitor, and develop talent, promoting centres of excellence and best practice sharing
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with fulfilment standards and SOPs
- Build, optimize, and monitor delivery routes including Last Mile operations
- Communicate with Panda App customer care and troubleshoot operational issues to resolution
- Plan for peak seasons ensuring adequate resources are available
- Onboard and manage performance of Last Mile/Freelancer providers in line with operational standards
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets and communicate policies to the team
- Maintain compliance with building security and product loss prevention procedures
- Lead the launch of new fulfilment operations as per strategic plans
Experience & skills
- Retail or online grocery experience
- Arab national preferred
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Analytical skills for monitoring performance
- Proven ability to deliver on performance KPIs
- Experience in team leadership and operational management
- Ability to implement SOPs and maintain compliance standards
- Skills in planning, troubleshooting, and escalation handling
