Job description
Rider training, engagement, and health and safety all sit under one manager in this Manama-based logistics role at Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group. You own the end-to-end training process for riders, setting standards, curricula, and delivery protocols across all training programs. Onboarding gets designed and continuously refined to create a smooth, engaging first experience for new riders, with training materials reviewed and refreshed on an ongoing basis. New formats get piloted too, from digital learning and gamification to video, peer-to-peer coaching, and AI-assisted learning tools, alongside Academy performance monitoring and instructor certification oversight. Beyond training, you build initiatives that improve rider satisfaction and long-term retention, strengthen the rider value proposition against market and competitor benchmarks, and manage partnerships with third-party vendors for rider benefits and discounts. Feedback loops such as surveys, focus groups, and town halls capture the voice of the rider, feeding insights into Operations and Product, while rider-facing marketing campaigns and recognition programs build community and loyalty. Road safety carries real weight in this role, covering initiatives to reduce rider accidents, vehicle safety programs, safety gear standards, and partnerships with vehicle and OEM providers. You also lead incident investigation and reporting, coordinating with insurance and compliance stakeholders, and step in personally to deliver hands-on training when needed.
