Job description
The Custom Consulting Lead at Microsoft will orchestrate high-value digital and AI transformation engagements, aligning customer needs with Microsoft's technology portfolio. The role involves complex deal making, managing customer relationshipsâespecially at the C-levelâand supporting strategic digital initiatives across commercial and public sector accounts. The position requires deep experience in consultative solution selling, preferably with exposure to consulting or solution architecture practices, and a strong understanding of industry trends and transformation goals. You will work closely with internal Microsoft teams across disciplines to tailor innovative, cutting-edge solutions using CSA assets and consulting IP to drive customer value and business outcomes. This hybrid role requires up to 50% travel and up to 2 days in-office weekly.

- Lead strategic customer engagements to solve key business challenges with custom Microsoft consulting solutions.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with regional sales leaders, aligning strategies across CSA domains.
- Influence Microsoft's strategic direction across markets by leading high-impact sales deployments.
- Drive consultative selling to build trust with C-level executives and position Microsoft solutions for business transformation.
- Participate in end-to-end sales planning and deal closure using Microsoft sales methodology.
- Leverage consulting IP and CSA assets to design customer transformation journeys that maximize Microsoft investments.
- Provide deal coaching, cross-area learning, and insights to elevate customer and internal Microsoft team capabilities.
- Continuously invest in personal development and transformative solution expertise to support evolving customer needs.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience in solution-based selling across one or more CSA domains.
- Proven ability to tailor cross-industry solutions and contribute to strategic account planning.
- Experience managing relationships with senior and C-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with consulting or solution architecture environments and sales cycles.
- Strong consultative sales expertise, particularly in public or commercial sector engagements.
- Ability and willingness to travel 25â50%.
