Job description
The Cargo Charter & Product Development Manager role at flydubai Cargo is responsible for leading, planning, and managing the airlineās freighter charter business and cargo product development strategy. The position focuses on designing and implementing freighter-specific cargo products, managing end-to-end charter and ad-hoc operations, and ensuring commercial feasibility, profitability, service excellence, and market competitiveness across global markets. The role requires close coordination with Freighter Planning, Operations Control, Engineering, Commercial, Quality, Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Capacity Management, and Finance teams to assess aircraft and network availability, develop pricing models and business cases, create product-specific SOPs and SLAs, and ensure full compliance with IATA, GCAA, and CEIV standards. The role also emphasizes building strong relationships with charter brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners, monitoring charter and product performance metrics such as load factors, yields, profitability, and customer satisfaction, and driving digital and process innovation through automation tools, quotation systems, and digital product solutions while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient freighter operations.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage all cargo charter and ad-hoc freighter operations, ensuring commercial feasibility, operational readiness, and profitability
- Design, implement, and support the development of freighter-specific cargo products aligned with market demand and operational capabilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with charter brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to generate repeat and high-value charter business
- Coordinate with Freighter Planning, Operations Control, and Engineering to assess aircraft availability and network feasibility for charter and special cargo requests
- Prepare detailed business cases and charter pricing models in collaboration with Pricing, Capacity Management, and Finance teams
- Develop and support product-specific standard operating procedures and service level agreements in compliance with IATA, GCAA, and CEIV standards
- Monitor and evaluate charter and product performance including load factors, yields, profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to define go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and product collateral for customers and trade events
- Drive digital transformation and process innovation through automation tools, quotation systems, and product-specific digital cargo solutions
- Ensure cross-functional coordination between Commercial, Operations, and Quality teams to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient freighter charter services
- Ensure compliance with Information Security Requirements by adhering to ISR policies, reporting incidents, completing awareness sessions, and following security guidelines
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in airline cargo product management, charter operations, or commercial development
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role within airline cargo or freighter operations
- Strong understanding of freighter operations, aircraft capabilities, and cargo handling standards
- Fluency in English
- Demonstrated experience working with IATA, GCAA, and CEIV standards for cargo operations
- Proven ability to develop cargo products, pricing models, and business cases for charter operations
- Experience coordinating with commercial, operational, engineering, and quality teams in an airline cargo environment
