Job description
Reporting Lead role within Mace supporting a large new build airport programme in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, designed to set a global benchmark for aviation experience and attract 120 million passengers by 2030. The role manages and coordinates a range of PMO and Project Controls services supporting designated projects within the PMO and Planning Centre of Excellence. The position is responsible for managing PMO and Project Controls performance across assigned commissions under senior mentorship, implementing PMO and Project Controls frameworks and strategies across projects, contributing to monthly reporting, performance reviews, and delivery of key insights, and recommending and developing methodologies including Earned Value Management. The role integrates PMO disciplines, ensuring alignment of risk management and planning activities, drives consistency with Mace Control Centre standards, client requirements, and legislation, and provides technical expertise while supporting Mace’s net zero carbon transition goals. The position requires advanced technical mastery, shaping standards, processes, and performance across programmes, strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and detail-focused execution, adaptability, and proficiency in Microsoft Office while operating within major aviation infrastructure delivery and complex programme environments.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate PMO and Project Controls performance across assigned commissions within the PMO and Planning Centre of Excellence, ensuring governance, reporting, planning, and risk management activities align with programme objectives and organisational standards
- Implement and continuously enhance PMO and Project Controls frameworks, standards, and strategies across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with Mace Control Centre standards, client requirements, and applicable legislation across complex aviation infrastructure delivery
- Lead the development and delivery of monthly reporting cycles, performance dashboards, and programme insights, ensuring accurate data consolidation, performance tracking, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting across multiple workstreams
- Recommend, develop, and implement programme control methodologies including Earned Value Management, performance measurement baselines, forecasting techniques, and trend analysis to strengthen programme visibility and decision-making
- Integrate PMO disciplines including planning, risk management, performance reporting, and project controls into a cohesive governance framework, ensuring consistency and standardisation across all programme components
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and programme leadership teams, ensuring alignment on performance objectives, reporting standards, governance requirements, and delivery expectations
- Provide advanced technical expertise in PMO and Project Controls, shaping programme standards, improving processes, and driving performance improvements across large-scale aviation construction programmes
- Support organisational sustainability initiatives by aligning reporting and programme performance frameworks with Mace’s net zero carbon transition goals, ensuring integration of sustainability considerations within programme governance and controls
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 15+ years of major programme leadership experience delivering complex infrastructure or construction projects, with proven capability in managing PMO and Project Controls functions across large-scale programmes
- Exhibit advanced technical mastery in PMO, Project Controls, Earned Value Management, performance reporting, risk management, and planning disciplines, with experience shaping standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management experience working with senior leadership, clients, and multidisciplinary teams, influencing programme decisions and aligning stakeholders to reporting and governance requirements
- Show proven ability to develop and implement PMO frameworks, reporting standards, and performance measurement methodologies across complex and multi-project programme environments
- Demonstrate analytical and detail-focused expertise in performance tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting within programme management environments
- Display proficiency in Microsoft Office tools supporting reporting, data analysis, performance dashboards, and executive-level presentations
- Demonstrate experience working within legislative, governance, and compliance environments, ensuring programme alignment with client requirements and organisational standards
- Exhibit experience supporting sustainability and net zero carbon transition goals within programme delivery, integrating sustainability considerations into programme controls and reporting frameworks
