Job description
The Relationship Manager – NBFI (UAE National) at Emirates NBD is responsible for building and managing relationships with Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs) in the UAE and wider GCC. The role encompasses end-to-end client relationship management including onboarding, proposal preparation, deal execution, and credit/compliance monitoring. The incumbent leverages balance sheet support to drive ancillary business, optimize portfolio RWA/RAROC, and raise liquidity via CASA and FDs. The role requires collaboration with product partners across Global Markets, Transaction Banking, and Investment Banking to deliver integrated solutions to Payment Service Providers and Fin-tech clients. Additionally, the role involves market and opportunity identification, account reviews, compliance assurance, risk management, professional advisory, and team development. The position demands strong knowledge of payment and cash management infrastructure, financial products, regulatory frameworks, and advanced financial analysis skills.

Key responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with NBFI clients including Payment Services Providers and Fin-techs.
- Collaborate with product partners to deliver tailored banking solutions across Global Markets, Transaction Banking, and Investment Banking.
- Manage end-to-end client relationship activities including onboarding, proposals, deal execution, and monitoring of credit and compliance.
- Leverage balance sheet and liquidity management tools to optimize portfolio RWA/RAROC and increase client wallet share.
- Identify business opportunities and market trends to grow the NBFI segment across UAE and ENBD network locations.
- Regularly review client account performance and recommend optimization strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory directives, and risk/return assessments.
- Lead, coach, and develop the team to achieve high performance and service standards.
Experience & skills
- Post-graduate degree in Banking, Finance, Management, or CA qualification.
- 3–5 years of relationship management experience with NBFIs, focusing on Payment Service Providers and Fin-techs.
- Strong knowledge of banking products across Markets, Trade, Cash, and Investment Banking.
- Advanced financial analysis and risk assessment skills.
- Proficient in payments infrastructure and cash management solutions including SWIFT, Host 2 Host, API, and Virtual Accounts.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities, develop relationships, and grow business across UAE and international network locations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage team performance, motivate staff, and coach team members effectively.
