Job description
The Director of Quality and Safety at Red Sea Air Services Company is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across Air Operations and Water Aerodromes, with deep knowledge of aviation regulatory standards mandated by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACARs) as well as international standards (ISO 9001, ICAO, FAA). The role oversees the establishment and maintenance of a robust Safety Management System (SMS), promotes a safety-first culture through proactive risk reduction and development of Health and Safety (H&S) standards across all operational areas of TRSASC, and leads investigations of safety incidents and near-misses with thorough analysis, reporting, and corrective actions. It develops and implements a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS), ensures compliance with international aviation standards and industry-specific regulations by the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and conducts regular audits and inspections to monitor conformance to QMS and H&S standards while identifying improvement areas. Responsibilities include staying abreast of relevant aviation regulations and ensuring organizational practices meet or exceed these standards; serving as primary contact with regulatory bodies during audits, inspections, and certifications; developing and delivering comprehensive quality and safety training programs and maintaining competency records; championing continuous improvement focused on process efficiency and effectiveness using data-driven approaches to identify trends and enhancement opportunities; leading risk assessment activities, developing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring robust reporting for hazard identification and risk assessment. The position fosters strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote quality and safety standards, acts as liaison and focal point of contact with GACA and other regulatory bodies, supports and mentors all operational divisions at the management level, and communicates effectively to ensure transparency and accountability. It provides coordination and oversight of Flight Operations, Ground and Water Aerodrome Operations, Maintenance, Training, Administrative, and Safety functions (including the operation of all aircraft, equipment, and facilities), and recommends operating policy changes at AOC, Water Aerodrome Operations, and corporate levels to ensure organizational flexibility.

- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote quality and safety standards and liaise as focal point with GACA and other regulatory bodies.
- Support and mentor all operational divisions at the management level to embed quality and safety practices.
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels to ensure transparency and accountability in quality and safety matters.

Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Engineering, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Demonstrate extensive experience in quality and safety management within the aviation industry.
- Possess Certified Auditor credentials (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) and/or Safety Professional certification (e.g., CSP, SMS certification).
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements including GACA, ICAO, and FAA standards.
- Prove ability to lead and influence a safety culture within an organization and manage cross-functional teams.
- Show exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with strong leadership capabilities.
- Display detail orientation, proactive and innovative problem-solving, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, strong ethical standards and integrity, excellent organizational and time management skills, and openness to additional responsibilities.
