Job description
The Manager (National Talent) ā Human Resources at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam plays a pivotal role in driving HR strategy, workforce planning, and employee engagement for one of Dubaiās most iconic luxury hospitality destinations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the role is responsible for leading the HR team, overseeing day-to-day operations, and aligning people strategies with the resortās business objectives. The Manager will focus on fostering a strong Emirati talent pipeline while ensuring workforce efficiency, compliance, and cultural excellence across the property. This position requires a seasoned HR professional capable of managing complex employee relations issues, promoting organizational development initiatives, and leveraging data-driven insights to support leadership decisions. The role combines strategic leadership with operational oversight, aiming to enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and the overall Jumeirah brand experience.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to ensure effective execution of all HR functions and initiatives
- Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution with fairness and discretion
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Jumeirahās overall business and people objectives
- Drive initiatives to attract, retain, and develop national talent, supporting Emiratisation goals and succession planning
- Utilize HR analytics and data to monitor workforce trends, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making
- Oversee workforce planning, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure optimal staffing and operational efficiency
- Promote a positive organizational culture through employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and wellbeing activities
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment between HR and business objectives across departments
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, Jumeirah policies, and international HR best practices
- Support organizational change initiatives, providing HR guidance and coaching to senior leaders
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on HR metrics, retention, and performance outcomes
- Represent HR at management meetings and contribute to strategic discussions related to talent and workforce planning
Experience & skills
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Human Resources Management (or international equivalent)
- 8ā10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in luxury hospitality or large-scale service organizations
- Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing diverse HR teams
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor law and regulatory frameworks
- Experience managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use HR metrics and data to guide decisions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
