Job description
The Customer Support Specialist role based at BR-Al Barsha Branch, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is responsible for assisting customers in their banking requirements by delivering high-quality service while projecting ADIB’s professional image in all interpersonal dealings. The position involves maintaining a high level of service attitude toward customers and executing, distributing, and recording customer instructions received through multiple channels including incoming mail and fax. The role requires handling general walk-in inquiries regarding ADIB’s Retail Banking products and Institutional Banking products and services, directing customers to respective service areas, and performing general administrative work including preparation of memos, customer letters, documentation, and filing. The position includes operational responsibilities such as delivery of cheque books and ATM cards, handling captured card issues on customer accounts, delivery of covered cards, and delivery of returned cheques to customers. The role also requires performing additional responsibilities assigned by Branch management. The specialist must possess knowledge of ADIB’s Retail & Institutional Banking products & services, ADIB’s Operational Policies & Procedures, UAE banking practices, regulations & risks, and thorough knowledge of all regulations issued by the Central Bank of UAE. Additional technical knowledge includes understanding of service standards, cross selling, and computer skills to support operational tasks and customer service functions. The role is designated exclusively for UAE Nationals and requires adherence to banking regulations, operational procedures, and customer service standards within a branch banking environment at Al Barsha Mall, Dubai.

Key responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of service attitude towards customers by assisting with banking requirements, responding to general inquiries related to ADIB Retail Banking products and Institutional Banking products, ensuring professional customer interaction, and projecting ADIB’s professional image in all interpersonal dealings while adhering to service standards and operational policies.
- Execute, distribute, and record customer instructions received through various communication channels including incoming mail, fax, and walk-in requests, ensuring accurate processing, documentation, and compliance with ADIB Operational Policies & Procedures and UAE banking regulations.
- Handle general walk-in inquiries in a professional and pleasant manner regarding ADIB products and services, provide accurate information, and direct customers to respective service areas within the branch while maintaining service efficiency and operational workflow.
- Perform general administrative duties including preparation of memos, customer letters, documentation, filing, record maintenance, and other administrative tasks to support branch operations and ensure adherence to operational procedures.
- Manage delivery of cheque books and ATM cards to customers while ensuring proper documentation, identity verification, and compliance with ADIB Operational Policies & Procedures and Central Bank of UAE regulations.
- Handle captured card issues on customer accounts, coordinate delivery of covered cards, manage returned cheques delivery, and ensure proper tracking, documentation, and customer communication throughout the process.
- Promote cross selling opportunities by identifying customer needs during interactions, providing information about ADIB Retail & Institutional Banking products & services, and referring customers to relevant departments in accordance with service standards.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by Branch management from time to time including operational support, administrative tasks, customer assistance, and compliance with UAE banking practices, regulations, risks, and Central Bank of UAE requirements.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of ADIB Retail & Institutional Banking products & services and apply this knowledge when assisting customers, handling inquiries, and directing customers to relevant service areas within branch operations.
- Possess knowledge of ADIB Operational Policies & Procedures and ensure compliance when executing customer instructions, handling documentation, delivering banking instruments, and performing administrative tasks.
- Maintain knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks including compliance with Central Bank of UAE regulations and ensure all operational activities align with regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate understanding of service standards and apply customer service best practices while managing walk-in inquiries, customer interactions, and service delivery responsibilities.
- Possess knowledge of cross selling techniques and identify opportunities to promote ADIB products and services during customer interactions while adhering to operational guidelines.
- Demonstrate computer skills to support administrative work, documentation processing, customer instruction recording, and general branch operations.
- Demonstrate capability to handle cheque book delivery, ATM card distribution, captured card handling, covered card delivery, and returned cheque management in accordance with operational procedures.
- Meet eligibility requirements for UAE Nationals only and demonstrate knowledge of banking operational procedures, administrative documentation, customer instruction processing, and regulatory compliance within branch banking environment.
