Job description
The role handles Trade finance transactions and EI Trade transactions while ensuring adherence to compliance policies, control policies, Sharia guidelines, internal guidelines, and sanctions regulations. It involves applying current trade finance procedures and practices, ensuring correct commission, charges, and profit collection as per tariff, identifying operational risks, avoiding audit observations, and preventing operational losses. The position requires performing reconciliation of related accounts, suspense accounts, and daily Nostro reconciliation, analyzing complaints and errors to ensure non-recurrence, identifying process improvements, and applying LEAN concepts to enhance efficiency. Responsibilities extend to supporting operations and administrative functions, liaising with internal and external customers to resolve queries, ensuring archival and physical verification of settled or closed transaction files, and participating in UAT, regression, and sanity testing for departmental projects. The role contributes to organizational initiatives, adheres to HR policies, supports continuous development through the LDP plan, manages team attendance, and performs performance appraisals. The position requires fluency in Arabic and English, strong knowledge of EI Trade transactions and trade products, and proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.

- Liaise with internal and external customers to resolve queries and issues
- Ensure archival and periodic physical verification of settled or closed transaction files
- Participate in UAT, regression, and sanity testing for departmental projects
- Support all operational and administrative functions assigned by management
- Participate in organizational initiatives and special assignments
- Adhere to HR policies and the LDP plan and encourage continuous development
- Track team attendance and conduct performance appraisals for team members
Experience & skills
- Fluent in Arabic and English (reading, writing, typing)
- Good knowledge of EI Trade transactions and trade products
- 1–3 years of industry experience in Bank / FI
- 1 year regional experience
- 2 years functional experience in EI Trade
- Strong PC skills including MS Word and MS Excel
- University degree or equivalent qualification; Bachelor's degree for expats
- Banking Diploma or professional certifications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under expanding business and growing volume pressures
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to make decisions within defined guidelines
