Job description
The Senior Observability Consultant is responsible for leading the adoption, optimization, and integration of Splunk IT Operations and Observability solutions within enterprise customer environments in Riyadh. This role provides high-quality technical guidance across architecture, configuration, and operational optimization while acting as a trusted advisor for strategic accounts. The consultant engages regularly with customers, ensuring the fastest time-to-value and maximum ROI from Splunk solutions, while collaborating closely with internal teams to develop standardized processes, improve scalability, and automate key functions. Responsibilities include providing technical consulting, managing complex customer issues and escalations, delivering formal and ad hoc training, driving product expansion, and contributing to CSAT improvements. The role demands strong operational skills, analytical capabilities, and expertise in enterprise applications, big-data analytics, scripting, application development, and databases, alongside superior customer-facing and communication skills.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the adoption, optimization, and integration of Splunk IT Ops and Observability solutions into enterprise customer architectures.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for assigned customers, managing strategic accounts, providing guidance, and ensuring adoption and optimization success.
- Develop and execute strategic engagement plans including meeting cadence, documentation, and representation of value from work outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams including CSM, RSM, SE, and PS to coordinate customer touchpoints and share critical insights for adoption and optimization.
- Provide technical guidance on enterprise-level architecture, configuration, IT Ops workflows, and DevOps integration in complex environments.
- Manage technical escalations, resolve complex customer challenges, and identify hidden issues to maximize customer satisfaction and solution value.
- Drive practice KPIs through scaling productivity, process creation, collateral development, tool implementation, and formal training sessions.
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience administering and using Splunk ITSI in enterprise environments.
- Significant experience in technical consulting or big-data analytics.
- Proven understanding of common enterprise applications and IT operations.
- Familiarity with statistical and analytical modeling techniques is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (bash) and application development using Java, Python, and .NET.
- Experience with databases and analytical tools relevant to enterprise IT and observability.
- Demonstrated experience in IT systems, enterprise/infrastructure management, application development and management, security, or analytics.
- Exceptional customer-facing skills with the ability to manage complex accounts, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and maintain high CSAT.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to organize, plan, and lead customers through complex change.
