Job description
Chartering Manager, Offshore at DP World - Maritime Solutions responsible for leading vessel chartering activities across assigned regions, ensuring optimal fleet utilization and day rates. The role includes developing and reviewing tenders and offers in line with commercial directives, managing contract execution and administration, negotiating favourable commercial agreements, overseeing financial performance including pricing strategies, revenue tracking, cost control, and operational efficiencies. The position requires cultivating strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, representing the company at industry events, providing technical and commercial advice, and collaborating with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. Key focus includes compliance with maritime regulations and industry standards, driving business development, and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities
- Lead chartering activities for offshore vessels in assigned regions and ensure optimal fleet utilization
- Coordinate deployment of maritime assets with commercial and operational teams to maximize day rates
- Develop, review, and manage tenders and commercial offers in line with company directives
- Monitor contract execution, provide progress and value reporting, advise on variations, risks, invoicing, and recoveries
- Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements including charter party contracts
- Manage contract administration, monitor compliance, address issues, and perform contract close-out
- Develop pricing strategies, track financial performance, and prepare forecasts and KPI reports
- Implement cost control measures and identify operational efficiency opportunities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
- Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and client meetings
Experience & skills
- Proven experience in chartering management within offshore oil and gas industry
- Sound knowledge of offshore vessel operations including PSVs, AHTS, and crew boats
- Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and business development
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) chartering or commercial management
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial principles in the maritime industry
- Proficiency in market analysis, financial modelling, and risk assessment
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and inspire collaboration
- Results-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
