The Emirati Associate & Consultant – Audit, Advisory & Tax at Grant Thornton UAE in Dubai works across Audit & Assurance, Advisory, and Tax service lines. The role involves conducting client research to understand operations, risks, and industry context; supporting planning and execution of engagements under senior guidance; reviewing client documentation and performing audit tests; assisting in fieldwork for internal audit, regulatory, or risk-focused assignments; gathering and analyzing data to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities; developing structured reports and recommendations for client presentations; and collaborating with team members to ensure end-to-end engagement delivery. Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Conduct client research to understand business operations, risks, and industry context
- Support planning and execution of audit, advisory, and consulting engagements under senior guidance
- Review client documentation, perform audit tests, and maintain complete and accurate project working papers
- Assist in fieldwork for internal audit, regulatory, or risk-focused assignments as needed
- Gather and analyze data to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Develop structured reports, recommendations, and close-out documentation for client presentations and internal reviews
- Maintain client satisfaction by responding to queries promptly and professionally
- Contribute to planning, exit, and discussion meetings while supporting strong working relationships
- Assist in preparing proposals, methodology materials, and client-facing documents for prospective engagements
- Collaborate with team members to support end-to-end engagement delivery
- Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues verbally and in writing

Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Technology, Science, or related fields
- Preferred degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field for specialist tracks (FCC, Regulatory, VAT)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical, numeracy, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Independent thinker, proactive, able to work under pressure
- Agile, growth-oriented, strong interpersonal and presentation skills
