Job description
Landscape and outdoor development projects across Dubai need civil works delivered exactly as designed, and that oversight, from site execution to quality control, sits with this Civil Engineer role. You will supervise day-to-day civil works across landscape and external development projects, executing hardscape, paving, kerbs, concrete works, retaining structures, pathways, and associated civil elements. Approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements get reviewed before execution, keeping construction activities aligned with approved designs and project schedules. Site inspections happen regularly, setting out works and verifying levels, dimensions, alignments, and elevations as construction progresses. Civil, architectural, structural, landscape, irrigation, and MEP drawings get reviewed for coordination, with discrepancies and clashes identified and RFIs raised where clarification is needed. Materials and workmanship get inspected before and during installation, and testing gets coordinated for concrete, compaction, levels, drainage, and other relevant works. Measurements taken on site and completed quantities get verified, supporting BOQ preparation, material take-offs, variation claims, and subcontractor quantity checks. Daily and weekly progress gets tracked against project schedules, with potential delays flagged early and corrective actions recommended. HSE procedures run through every activity on site, from hazard identification and PPE compliance to coordinating permits and inspections with the HSE team.
