Job description
Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD), a leading UAE banking institution with over 50 years of operations, is seeking a Senior Relationship Officer – Corporate Banking (UAE National) to join its Corporate Banking Coverage team in Abu Dhabi. The role supports Relationship Managers by maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients and ensuring successful and optimal business engagement. The position is responsible for processing renewals, new credit proposals, excesses, and isolated requests for existing customers with minimal RM involvement, while ensuring timely and accurate credit administration through annual reviews and continuous monitoring of financials, covenants, and credit parameters. The role requires in-depth analysis of customer-provided information including project reports, feasibility studies, balance sheets, and cash flows to structure appropriate credit lines that balance risk and reward. The Senior Relationship Officer manages day-to-day corporate banking requirements, security documentation, customer communication, deal monitoring, early warning signal detection, and compliance with internal audit and policy guidelines to maintain high asset quality and customer satisfaction standards.

Key responsibilities
- Process renewals, new credit proposals, and excess or isolated requests for existing corporate customers in a timely and professional manner with minimal RM involvement
- Ensure timely and accurate credit administration through completion of annual reviews and continuous monitoring of financials, covenants, and credit parameters
- Analyse project reports, feasibility studies, balance sheets, and cash flows to structure credit facilities while balancing risk and reward
- Manage day-to-day corporate client banking requirements and professionally handle security documentation
- Build and maintain effective relationships with corporate clients to support ongoing business and customer satisfaction
- Monitor development and progress of corporate deals and take prompt action in case of adverse developments
- Identify and monitor early warning signs of account deterioration to maintain high asset quality
- Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements, banking policies, and procedures to maintain consistency and quality standards
- Conduct customer visits as required to support business needs and relationship management
- Maintain effective internal and external communication to achieve designated turnaround times and service quality levels
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate experience supporting corporate banking relationships and credit processes
- Show capability in analysing financial statements, feasibility reports, and cash flows for credit assessment
- Exhibit proficiency in processing credit proposals, reviews, and customer requests independently of Relationship Managers
- Possess strong understanding of corporate banking policies, procedures, and internal audit requirements
- Be a UAE National eligible to work in a permanent role within Corporate Banking Coverage
