Job description
The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance Supervisor at Amazon Fulfillment MENA is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in Inbound or Outbound Fulfillment Centers, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are met. The role involves supervising staff, monitoring productivity, coaching and developing team members, managing performance, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include tracking production metrics, analyzing data for continuous improvement, implementing process and equipment improvements, mentoring team members, planning for resourcing and long-term operational strategies, enforcing safety procedures, managing timecard accuracy, and collaborating with HR, Facilities, Safety, and IT departments. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, ability to handle ambiguity, and dedication to creating a culture of teamwork, communication, and high performance.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day Inbound or Outbound Fulfillment Center operations ensuring overall safety, quality, and performance
- Set and clarify departmental requirements and expectations while fostering teamwork and open communication
- Identify training needs, provide coaching, and continuously monitor team performance to optimize productivity
- Ensure safe working practices and timely documentation of accidents or incidents
- Track production metrics and utilize data to develop continuous improvement strategies and report to management
- Assist in the establishment of long-term operational strategic plans and implement process improvements
- Propose and implement improvements in equipment and processing methods
- Manage performance including recognition of top performers, coaching, and progressive discipline for poor performance
- Conduct timecard reviews daily and weekly to ensure pay accuracy
- Collaborate with HR, Facilities, Safety, and IT to secure resources and support for operational projects and initiatives
Experience & skills
- UAE National with Family Book
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
- Preferred: Fluent in English (spoken, written, and reading) with ability to take direction in English
- Proven ability to supervise teams in fast-paced warehouse or fulfillment environments
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance standards in warehouse operations
- Experience in implementing process improvements and productivity enhancements
- Ability to analyze operational data and develop actionable insights
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet operational deadlines
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to achieve performance goals
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as HR, Safety, IT, and Facilities
