Job description
Every Business Banking client at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has to clear KYC before onboarding and stay compliant through periodic and trigger reviews, and this Abu Dhabi VP owns the approval process from submission to sign-off. Acting as team lead under the Head of KYC Onboarding, you guide a team that includes offshore locations while also handling cases personally. CDD files are checked for completeness against bank policy and UAE Central Bank expectations within agreed SLAs. ML/TF, PEP, adverse media and sanctions risks are identified and mitigated, with cases up to high risk approved under the DOA and very high-risk cases sent to FCC and Compliance. RMs, product teams and FCC/Compliance look to you for advice on policy, screening and risk rating. CDD SOPs, checklists, PEP forms and the Sanctions Exposure Questionnaire are drafted and kept current, and policies are reviewed annually. Automation and digital initiatives get your support, along with training for KYC teams and frontline staff. MI for senior management, KYC deferral trackers and PEP trackers stay up to date. Eight to ten years in a reputed bank is required, including 5 in regulatory and financial crime compliance covering areas such as FATCA, CRS, AML and KYC. A Bachelor's in Management, Banking or Finance and ACAMS or ICA certification are expected.
