Job description
The incumbent of the role will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of all commercial and contractual aspects in accordance with the companyās policies and procedures, applicable laws, and business requirements. The candidate will work closely with business/client units and project teams and is expected to maintain a high level of visibility on the accounts/projects as they perform their contract management responsibilities. The commercial manager will organize, control, and direct work activities related to contract management and take accountability for commercial and contractual outcomes while acting as a trusted partner to the business. Core42 is the UAEās national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining G42 Groupās expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. It provides sovereign cloud, HPC, generative AI, cybersecurity, and managed services expertise to support national-scale program deployments.

Key responsibilities
- Responsible for providing support on contractual matters related to Cloud Business with customers
- Sees through the effective and timely resolution of various contractual disputes (related to payment & invoices, penalties, taxes, termination scenarios, commercial disputes, breach scenarios etc) through direct interactions with clients
- Works closely with business development, legal, finance and service team to solve various issues related to the contracts, as soon as they arise
- Identifies and highlights key delivery and commercial risks to avoid penalties during the project implementation
- Manages contractual risk(s) during pre-sales activities and during project implementation activities
- Provides the necessary support to get contract signature
- Provide support for pre-award sales activities including developing responses to client RFPs or similar, working with business and legal to draft contract schedules and participate in negotiations
- Escalate matters in a timely and controlled fashion (in accordance with prescribed guidelines) and ensure affected parties are notified in an appropriate manner
- Draft complex documents such as, but not limited to: Statements of Work, Change Requests, Arrangement Letters, Subcontracts and Non-Disclosure Agreements, working with project leadership to provide timely reviews and quality contractual documents that are fit for purpose and working with legal and business leadership to ensure alignment with overall business/Legal objectives and approvals
- Participate in/lead negotiations to achieve the best outcomes for G42 Cloud and clients
- Implement contract management processes across the organization including accounts and projects, in a manner that is consistent with G42 Cloud policies
- Ensure all contract relevant policies and procedures applicable to an account or project are identified and communicated to relevant personnel
- Work with delivery and finance leads to identify and flex appropriate contract levers affecting revenue cost and profit
- Work with project, account managers and client teams to ensure contract management support meets the requirements of the business
- Actively promote benefit/awareness of contract management with business and account leaders, identifying opportunities to further develop contract management support
- Participate in the Lead to Cash process and support when required the bid management, handing over and contract execution processes/tasks
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree required; Advanced degree is preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a commercial or contract manager with exposure to complex deals
- Solid experience managing complex commercial issues and understanding main commercial principles
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external executives and be capable of contributing and influencing key commercial and contracting decisions
- Understanding of general commercial contracting regulations and principles and subcontracting practices
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills and an ability to provide appropriate advice
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MST)
