Job description
Deloitte is hiring a Consultant in Cyber – Software & Asset Management for its UAE, KSA, Jordan, and Lebanon offices. The role focuses on helping clients manage IT assets strategically, improve governance, and mitigate compliance risks. Consultants will evaluate SAM maturity, analyze license entitlements, prepare clients for audits and vendor negotiations, and identify opportunities for contract optimization. The position also involves developing SAM strategies and roadmaps aligned with client goals, collaborating with IT, procurement, and finance teams, and advising on best practices across SAM, HAM, and CMDB processes. Proficiency with SAM tools (e.g., Flexera, ServiceNow, SCCM) and familiarity with major licensing models is essential.

Key responsibilities
- Evaluate Software Asset Management maturity and governance against best practices
- Analyze software license entitlements and usage to identify cost savings opportunities
- Advise on compliance risks by interpreting vendor agreements and licensing terms
- Support client audit readiness and vendor negotiations with structured asset data
- Identify opportunities for contract optimization, renewals, and consolidations
- Develop SAM strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals and IT landscapes
- Collaborate with IT, procurement, and finance teams for cohesive decision-making
- Assess and enhance IT asset management processes across SAM, HAM, and CMDB
- Recommend tooling improvements and evaluate effectiveness of client SAM tools
- Deliver insights and recommendations through clear reports and presentations
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in software asset management, IT asset management, or licensing
- Familiarity with licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.)
- Experience with SAM tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow, Microsoft SCCM
- Strong analytical skills for assessing usage, licensing terms, and compliance risks
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and research tools
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver objectives
- Strong learning mindset and collaborative approach
- Certifications like ITIL, CSAM, or Microsoft SAM preferred but not required
