Job description
The Senior Solutions Engineer role within Cloudflare’s Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering organization is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio for the KSA region, ensuring maximum business value, fit-for-purpose solution design, and efficient adoption roadmaps for customers. The role acts as the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare, working closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to drive customer success and scalable solution outcomes. The position requires a broad and deep understanding of Internet performance and security technologies, including how the internet works at a protocol level, such as TCP versus UDP, HTTP behavior, firewall functionality, the role of TLS (SSL), and DNS concepts including authoritative DNS and recursive DNS. The role involves supporting customers ranging from individual users to SMBs and Fortune 500 enterprises, helping them understand Cloudflare’s offerings across DDoS protection, CDN, performance optimization, DNS services, developer platforms, and Zero Trust/SASE solutions. The Senior Solutions Engineer is expected to design and articulate technical solutions that outperform competitors, explain ROI and buying decisions, validate technical wins, and support customers through adoption and implementation. The role includes customer-facing activities such as on-site visits, conferences, and technical talks, with an expectation of travel of approximately 10–15 days per quarter. All required resources and training are provided by Cloudflare to support success in the role, within a hybrid work model based in Dubai and aligned to Saudi Arabia coverage.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver technical pre-sales support for the Cloudflare solution portfolio across the KSA market, ensuring fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmaps
- Act as the technical customer advocate by working closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to drive customer success
- Design and present technical solutions that address customer performance, security, and scalability requirements
- Explain complex Internet technologies including TCP, UDP, HTTP, TLS, DNS, firewalls, and security architectures in clear and accessible terms
- Support customers through technical evaluations, demonstrations, and solution validation to secure technical wins over competitors
- Assess customer requirements, pain points, and buying criteria, and articulate ROI and business value
- Maintain and expand technical knowledge across Cloudflare products including DDoS, CDN, DNS, Zero Trust, SASE, and developer platforms
- Travel to customer offices, conferences, and events to support sales activities and deliver technical presentations
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 3 to 10 years of experience in the IT industry
- Demonstrate a strong fundamental understanding of how the internet works including TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, firewalls, and TLS
- Demonstrate knowledge of the competitive landscape across DDoS, CDN, performance, DNS, developer platforms, or Zero Trust/SASE providers
- Demonstrate working proficiency in English and Arabic
- Demonstrate experience managing projects, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing competing demands
- Demonstrate willingness to travel approximately 10–15 days per quarter
- Demonstrate previous experience in a pre-sales solutions engineering or consulting role
- Demonstrate experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash
