Job description
The Aeropolitical Affairs Manager at Emirates Airlines plays a critical role in expanding the airlineās global reach by securing market access, negotiating traffic rights, and influencing aviation policy. The role requires extensive analytical research, the preparation of advocacy materials, and direct participation in intergovernmental negotiations. The manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Planning and Commercial Operations, while engaging with international regulators and aeronautical authorities to advance Emiratesā aeropolitical interests. This position also involves mentoring analysts and ensuring high-quality research, data analysis, and advocacy outputs.

Key responsibilities
- Monitor and research domestic, regional, and global aviation policies and regulations.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data on air traffic, passenger and cargo demand, market share, and route performance.
- Provide senior management with clear interpretations of complex analyses in written and verbal form.
- Develop aeropolitical meeting files, submissions, presentations, and briefing notes.
- Collaborate with internal teams ahead of bilateral air services negotiations.
- Participate in intergovernmental bilateral negotiations to support Emiratesā traffic rights goals.
- Maintain relationships with aeronautical authorities, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
- Support government authorisations and schedule approvals for new and existing destinations.
- Guide Emiratesā codeshare team on aeropolitical issues and approvals.
- Support the development of Analystsā statistical, analytical, and aeropolitical expertise.
Experience & skills
- Degree or Honours in business analytics and modelling, law, international relations, or related area.
- 8+ yearsā experience in commercial, sales, research/analysis, or international/public affairs in the airline sector.
- Experience in aeropolitical matters and bilateral agreements.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with statistical and modelling expertise.
- Ability to interpret complex air transport datasets.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills.
- Superb writing skills for reports, advocacy documents, and presentations.
- Full attention to detail in data analysis and document preparation.
- Knowledge of aeropolitics, bilateral negotiations, and international aviation policy.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
