Job description
The Senior Manager – Dive Operations is a senior, site-based leadership role responsible for the end-to-end establishment, launch, and ongoing operation of a dive center at a designated asset within Red Sea Sports & Entertainment (RSSE). The role plays a critical role during pre-opening and opening phases by contributing to operational readiness, recruitment, system setup, equipment sourcing, staffing models, procedures, and compliance with international dive, safety, and environmental standards. Once operational, the role assumes full accountability for operational excellence, overseeing daily dive operations, underwater tourism activities, guest experiences, dive training and certification programs, retail and sales performance, and equipment management. The position ensures strict adherence to the DSM Red Sea Global Dive Safety Manual, marine conservation principles, and environmental stewardship requirements in coordination with Sustainability and Special Economic Zone departments. The role leads and develops a dive team of up to 13 personnel, promotes a strong safety culture, manages performance and professional development, maintains accurate operational, training, equipment, and incident records, and acts as a subject-matter expert and brand ambassador delivering safe, high-quality, and memorable marine experiences aligned with Galaxea and Red Sea Global standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end establishment, launch, and ongoing operation of the dive center at the assigned asset
- Ensure the efficient, safe, and professional day-to-day running of all dive center operations
- Support the Galaxea Cluster Manager in developing and operationalizing additional dive centers across other assets
- Recruit, develop, and lead a dive operations team of up to 13 personnel
- Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development to dive team members
- Ensure full compliance with the DSM Red Sea Global Dive Safety Manual and all related policies
- Coordinate with Sustainability and Special Economic Zone departments to meet environmental and marine life protection requirements
- Plan and oversee dive training and certification programs in line with training agency standards
- Maintain accurate records for dive operations, training activities, equipment, and incidents
- Lead and manage dive-related sales, retail operations, revenue generation, and upselling initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, guests, and the local community
- Support media activities including photography and videography when required
- Implement approved policies, standard operating procedures, systems, and work instructions
- Prepare and support accurate and timely MIS and operational reporting
- Apply safety, quality, and environmental management controls to ensure compliance and service excellence
- Promote marine conservation awareness and environmentally responsible diving practices
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with international best practices
Experience & skills
- Certified PADI Instructor
- Minimum of 500 logged dives
- Certification of at least 50 students across core dive courses
- Proven experience in dive center or resort management across multiple geographic locations
- Strong background in dive business and hospitality operations
- Demonstrated expertise in diving health and safety
- Experience in dive equipment management and retail operations
- Knowledge of marine conservation principles
- Valid Fit-to-Dive medical certification
- Underwater photography and videography skills
- Excellent written and spoken English proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to uphold strict safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Additional spoken languages such as Arabic preferred
- Qualified workshop technician experience across multiple equipment brands preferred
