Job description
The Financial Operations Consultant is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations at Tap Payments, developing comprehensive knowledge of the firm's policies, regulations, and financial workflows. This role includes performing reconciliations between internal systems, payment gateways, and banks; managing financial records and compliance; executing internal controls and reviews for existing and new merchants; and participating in cross-functional meetings to optimize processes and implement best practices. The consultant ensures that all financial transactions align with internal procedures, supports stakeholder engagement, and contributes to the growth and operational efficiency of the organization in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key responsibilities
- Perform reconciliations between internal systems, payment gateways, and banks
- Manage financial records and ensure accuracy and compliance
- Conduct internal controls review and reconciliation between sales captured on Operation System and payment gateways
- Execute internal controls and reviews of existing and new merchants to prevent monetary issues
- Participate in meetings and discussions on collaboration, processes, and technical fronts
- Implement best practices in financial operations
- Comply with internal finance operating procedures, rules, and regulations
- Carry out other duties assigned based on business demands and role growth
Experience & skills
- 2–4 years of experience in Financial Services, Fintech, or high-growth startups
- Preferred degree, but real-world experience accepted
- Ability to establish credibility and internal relationships
- Understanding of client, merchant, and stakeholder care
- Awareness of how the role supports business objectives
- Enthusiasm for working in a growing fintech
- Ability to work in a team and follow daily tasks
