Job description
First Abu Dhabi Bank is looking for a Manager - Commercial Banking to support Relationship Managers in acquiring and managing a discretionary lending customer portfolio. The role involves credit analysis, client onboarding, and executing financial transactions, along with administrative and reporting responsibilities. The candidate will ensure compliance with internal policies and work toward continuous process improvement while delivering high service quality to clients. Cross-functional collaboration and proactive identification of cross-sell opportunities are also key aspects of the role.

Key responsibilities
- Credit analysis, analyzing audited financials and preparation of Credit Proposals.
- Onboarding and monitoring support for acquisition and management of Discretionary Lending customer portfolio for assigned Relationship Managers.
- Maintain accuracy on financial spreading and quality analysis and turnaround credit proposals within benchmarked timeframes.
- Follow-up on origination and execution of customer transactions.
- Assist the Relationship Managers with miscellaneous administration of the client portfolio.
- Extract and analyze financial statements, cash flow forecasts and other complex financial reports.
- Preparation and recommendation of detailed credit submissions, including identification of key risks and mitigants.
- Be alert to cross-sell opportunities and refer to appropriate specialists.
- Provide excellent client service and timely responses to queries.
- Execute relevant financial transactions for clients.
- Ensure all documentation and records are maintained per policy.
- Understand and promote digital banking access channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service delivery.
- Generate internal and external reports for customer checks.
- Support improvement of customer satisfaction outcomes.
- Maintain high data quality standards in bank systems.
- Perform any other business tasks as requested by the line manager.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in business administration, finance, banking or related field.
- Minimum 5 yearsâ experience in Corporate, Commercial or Business Banking.
- At least 3 years in a similar support function role.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis and risk assessment.
- Experience in financial documentation and report preparation.
- Knowledge of customer onboarding and portfolio monitoring.
- Ability to handle customer queries and financial transactions.
- Experience with corporate banking systems and access channels.
