Job description
The Relationship Manager β Deposits & Employee Banking (Emirati Mortgage Sales) within the Retail Banking Group is responsible for acquiring and managing quality Emirati and Islamic segment clients in Abu Dhabi, with a primary focus on liability products. The role involves onboarding new-to-bank clients, growing wallet share, and delivering cross-sell opportunities across personal loans, cards, insurance, and other retail banking products. The Relationship Manager maintains strong client relationships, ensures high service standards, and collaborates with internal product, channel, and SME FX teams to maximize revenue opportunities. The position requires adherence to compliance and risk frameworks including KYC, AML, credit risk monitoring, and account reviews while consistently achieving sales and performance targets.

Key responsibilities
- Proactively acquire new-to-bank clients to grow Emirati and Islamic business presence
- Drive liability growth and deliver agreed deposit targets
- Cross-sell personal loans, cards, insurance, and other retail banking products
- Maintain strong client relationships to increase wallet share and position the bank as a primary banking partner
- Manage service-related client matters and onboard Mashreq Gold profile clients
- Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and account review requirements
- Monitor credit risk exposure related to facilities execution
- Coordinate with RBG, CIBG, and SME FX teams to maximize cross-referral opportunities
- Ensure high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain consistent productivity and performance as a self-driven sales professional
Experience & skills
- Graduate (Bachelorβs degree)
- 7β10+ years of banking sales experience, preferably in retail banking
- Strong knowledge of retail banking products, services, policies, and processes
- Proven sales track record in liability products and cross-selling
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Confidence, persistence, and strong relationship-building ability
- Understanding of Emirati and Islamic banking segments
- Awareness of compliance requirements including KYC and AML
- Ability to manage risk-reward parameters and meet performance targets
