Job description
Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving fault management, handling customer and carrier complaints, incident management, and providing technical support for IGW and fixed voice networks. The role includes monitoring network faults, escalation management, vendor coordination, and supporting disaster recovery and automation initiatives. This role requires deep technical expertise in telecom protocols and systems, proactive problem prevention, and effective cross-team collaboration.

Key responsibilities
- Handle troubleshooting and resolving fault management, customer and carrier complaints, incident handling
- Monitor network faults, escalate issues and manage incidents as per processes and SLAs
- Provide technical support to monitoring teams and involve second line operations teams when needed
- Perform periodic analysis of incident reports to proactively prevent issues
- Run network health check reports and highlight findings
- Handle daily incidents and trouble tickets as per operation policies
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external parties until resolution
- Provide regular progress reports to Team Lead and Manager
- Prepare and maintain updated documentation, manuals, and diagrams
- Monitor and analyze vendor performance for incident handling
- Prepare incidents-related technical reports and documentation
- Support new project/service acceptance from SOC operations
- Work on network disasters, implement alternative plans, and restore services
- Support disaster recovery simulations and activities
- Support digitalization and automation of SOC tasks and tools
- Handle service surveillance, alarm handling, and escalation within SLA
- Escalate critical network issues as per company escalation matrix
- Control and support reactive or planned activities
- Manage Mobile Network Dashboard and Event Management
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Telecom or relevant engineering stream
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Fixed Voice & IGW Network in telecom industry
- Knowledge of call routing on soft switch
- Knowledge of pre and post digit analysis in class 4 gateways
- Strong SIP protocol knowledge and trace analysis capability
- Understanding of fixed voice network and IGWs service flow
- Knowledge of IP networks and routing protocols
- Expertise in SIP, SS7, SIGTRAN, H.248, and Q.931
- Understanding of KPIs like ASR, ACD, NER and related performance issues
- Experience with Huawei SoftX3000, ISBC, UMG8900, U2000
- Knowledge of Genband C20/CS2K, BVS, HIPCC
- Knowledge of Nokia FMC solution, tools, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Nokia iSBC solution
- Technical knowledge of IGW, ISBC, Fixed Voice and Mobile Core networks
