Job description
The Forensics Accountant – Director role is a senior leadership position within the Forensic Services practice, based in the United Arab Emirates, with flexibility to operate across both the UAE and KSA markets. The role is focused on disputes, quantum analysis, and expert witness work, supporting high-profile and complex commercial disputes across the Middle East. The position leads complex dispute advisory and litigation support engagements from inception to resolution and is responsible for preparing and presenting expert witness reports and providing expert testimony in arbitration, litigation, and mediation proceedings. The role requires deep technical expertise in forensic accounting, quantum analysis, damages assessments, financial investigations, and financial dispute resolution. The Director plays a critical role in managing senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on contentious matters, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Legal, Tax, and Deal Advisory on multi-disciplinary engagements. In addition to client delivery, the role contributes to business development through proposal writing and client pitches and plays an active role in building and expanding the disputes practice across the UAE and KSA. The position operates within a growing forensic practice handling some of the region’s most complex disputes, requiring advanced financial analysis, damages quantification, financial modelling, and expert-level use of Microsoft Excel.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex dispute advisory and litigation support engagements from inception through resolution
- Prepare expert witness reports and provide expert witness testimony in arbitration, litigation, and mediation proceedings
- Conduct quantum analysis, damages assessments, damages quantification, and financial investigations for high-value commercial disputes
- Manage senior client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on contentious and dispute-related matters
- Mentor, develop, and oversee junior team members to ensure technical excellence in forensic accounting engagements
- Contribute to business development activities including proposal writing and client pitches for dispute and forensic engagements
- Play an active role in building, growing, and expanding the disputes practice across the United Arab Emirates and KSA
- Collaborate with Legal, Tax, and Deal Advisory teams on complex multi-disciplinary dispute and forensic engagements
Experience & skills
- Hold a professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant, including ACA, ACCA, CA, or an equivalent qualification
- Demonstrate a minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience in forensic accounting with a strong and sustained focus on disputes
- Provide demonstrated experience preparing expert reports and delivering expert witness testimony in arbitration, litigation, and mediation settings
- Exhibit deep technical expertise in quantum analysis, damages calculations, damages quantification, and financial dispute resolution
- Show experience building, scaling, or making a significant contribution to the growth of a disputes or forensic practice
- Possess prior experience within a Big 4 professional services firm or a strong boutique forensic accounting firm
- Demonstrate willingness and flexibility to be based in the United Arab Emirates or KSA and to work across both markets as required
- Exhibit advanced technical capability in financial analysis, financial modelling, and expert-level use of Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate strong understanding of arbitration and litigation processes across multiple jurisdictions
