Job description
Responsible for overseeing mechanical engineering works on-site for industrial and commercial projects in Riyadh. Reviews mechanical designs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and calculations. Supervises on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, LPG/NG, and fuel systems. Conducts site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and local codes and regulations. Coordinates with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other disciplines to ensure smooth execution. Provides technical solutions for complex mechanical issues, prepares technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders, monitors project timelines, promotes sustainable engineering practices, and continuously improves engineering processes to enhance efficiency and quality. Mentors junior engineers and site inspectors to support professional development.

- Manage and mentor junior engineers and site inspectors, providing guidance and professional development support
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor project milestones, timelines, and deliverables while promoting energy-efficient and sustainable engineering practices
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 20 years of experience, including significant engineering consultancy and site supervision
- Proven experience managing mechanical works across HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, LPG/NG, and fuel systems on large construction projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, heat load calculations, and system sizing
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems, piping systems, and industrial mechanical equipment
- Proficiency in CAD and BIM software for design review and project coordination
- Familiarity with project management tools and construction methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and willingness to travel to project sites as required
