Job description
The Quality Control Officer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured within the plant meet the highest standards of quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance. The role involves implementing the company’s Quality and Food Safety Policy and fulfilling all responsibilities defined within the Quality and Food Safety Management System. The successful candidate will conduct inspections and analytical testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods in accordance with established inspection plans and product specifications. The position requires continuous monitoring of compliance with Food Safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene protocols, and plant safety procedures. The Quality Control Officer will identify and report deviations, manage non-conforming products through hold and release procedures, and ensure immediate corrective actions are taken. Additionally, the role includes performing root cause analysis on quality and food safety incidents, validating corrective actions, supporting internal audits, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The officer will also verify sanitation and pest control programs, ensure calibration of quality control equipment such as metal detectors, weighers, X-ray systems, and balances, and provide guidance and training to plant teams to strengthen food safety culture and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the Quality and Food Safety Policy in line with the plant’s management system
- Conduct inspections and laboratory analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process and finished products
- Monitor compliance with Food Safety standards, GMPs, and hygiene requirements
- Perform online testing of quality parameters as per the approved testing program
- Identify product deviations and coordinate corrective actions including hold and release of non-conforming products
- Conduct root cause analysis and trend analysis for quality and food safety incidents
- Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality and Food Safety Management System
- Conduct sanitation and pest control verification activities
- Ensure calibration and proper functioning of quality control equipment
- Provide coaching, guidance, and training support to plant personnel on food safety and quality practices
- Participate in behavioral safety observations and promote positive safety culture
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related discipline
- Food Safety Management certification such as ISO 22000, BRC, IFS, or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably within dairy operations
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
- Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
