The Editor in Chief at Salla, based in Jeddah, leads the editorial function for one of the fastest-growing e-commerce platforms in the MENA region. This role oversees the planning, creation, review, and publication of content across all digital channels, ensuring editorial quality, consistency, and alignment with the company's messaging. The position requires leadership of a multidisciplinary editorial team, defining editorial standards, tone, and content policies while collaborating closely with marketing, product, and digital teams. Responsibilities include executing a strategic content roadmap, reviewing and approving content, managing publishing schedules, and tracking content performance with actionable insights. Proficiency in CMS tools such as WordPress, SEO fundamentals, and analytics platforms like Google Analytics is essential. The role demands strategic vision, operational management, quality assurance, and cross-functional coordination to ensure high-quality, impactful content delivery.

- Manage publishing schedules and workflows, ensuring timely delivery of content across multiple digital platforms.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, audience preferences, and competitive landscape to refine content strategy and editorial focus.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media, Communications, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in editorial, content, or digital media roles, preferably in tech or startup environments.
- Proficiency with CMS tools such as WordPress and a solid understanding of SEO best practices.
- Experience in tracking and analyzing content performance using analytics platforms, including Google Analytics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing editorial or content teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of English; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
- Ability to develop, implement, and enforce editorial standards, tone, and content policies across an organization.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, publishing schedules, and content pipelines efficiently.
