Job description
The Services Account Executive (SAE) role represents Unified Support and Consulting Services across all stages of the sales framework, acting as a trusted advisor who partners with Sales and Service Delivery to accelerate cloud growth, drive AI transformation, and deliver measurable customer outcomes. The remit spans aligning services to customer goals, embedding services insights into account planning and transformation efforts, engaging early to protect and grow the Unified base, achieving renewal rate targets, landing Enhanced Solutions with every product sale, selling consulting engagements and new Unified deals, co-creating transformation plans with full account teams, and supporting MACC planning and execution milestones. The role owns the full sales cycle—from lead generation and qualification to deal closure—leveraging digital channels to uncover opportunities, collaborating via a One Microsoft approach, increasing Unified penetration through strategic alignment, and identifying and selling Industry Cloud solutions, including the Unified Mission Critical Portfolio and Security Services, to solve customer challenges and drive cloud consumption through sold projects and programs while achieving quarterly and full-year sales targets.

Key responsibilities
- Align services to customer goals and embed services insights into account planning to drive measurable outcomes across cloud and AI transformations
- Protect and grow the Unified Support base by engaging early for proactive renewals, collaborating with Customer Success Account Managers, and meeting renewal rate targets
- Land Enhanced Solutions with every product sale and sell consulting engagements and new Unified deals to expand services footprint
- Lead the consulting virtual account team, practicing consultative selling, active listening, and continuous planning to bring customer visions to life
- Identify and sell Microsoft Industry Cloud solutions, including Unified Mission Critical and Security Services, through co-innovation with partners and internal teams
- Own the full sales cycle from pipeline origination and lead qualification to proposal, negotiation, and closure, driving cloud consumption through sold projects and programs
- Leverage digital channels to uncover and develop new business opportunities and expand executive sponsorship
- Co-create multi-year transformation roadmaps with account teams and support MACC planning and execution milestones to align spend and outcomes
- Collaborate across customer and partner networks using a One Microsoft approach, adhering to established sales processes and methodologies
- Report on performance against quarterly and full-year targets and maintain disciplined forecasting, opportunity hygiene, and governance
Experience & skills
- 5+ years of industry sales experience in the commercial or public sector OR 5+ years of consulting solution and Unified sales experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in consultative selling and digital engagement across complex enterprises
- Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles and pre-sales processes through to closure with measurable customer value outcomes
- Familiarity with Microsoft methodologies and Industry Cloud solutions, including Unified Support and Security Services
- Ability to co-create transformation plans and support MACC (Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment) planning and execution milestones
- Strong leadership and collaboration abilities to coordinate virtual account teams and align competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with English proficiency for global communication, documentation, and collaboration
- Track record of growing cloud consumption, expanding Unified penetration, and achieving quarterly and full-year sales targets
- Willingness to travel 0–25% and operate fully on-site as required by role and location
