Job description
The BU Finance Lead for Trapeze Group Middle East oversees all finance operations across UAE and KSA, ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations, and delivering accurate internal and external reporting. This role acts as a business partner to the Managing Director, supporting strategic decisions through robust financial modeling, forecasts, and variance analysis. Responsibilities include managing a team of four (including IT support), presenting monthly financial performance reports, supporting sales and bid teams, and contributing to customer negotiations. The role also includes end-to-end ownership of the accounting cycle—from P&L and balance sheet reviews to VAT filings, IFRS 15 compliance, payroll, and audit coordination. The candidate must drive efficiency improvements using NetSuite, enforce internal controls, manage working capital, and ensure accurate project accounting through PoC and margin analysis. Experience in software or project-based environments is essential.

- Act as strategic finance partner to the Managing Director and leadership team
- Prepare and present monthly management reports, KPIs, and variance analysis
- Develop quarterly forecasts and financial models to support business decisions
- Lead the finance team including IT support and build cross-functional capabilities
- Support bid preparation and negotiate payment issues directly with customers
- Manage project-based accounting including PoC and revenue recognition under IFRS 15
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, payroll, credit control, and accruals
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory filings including VAT, audits, and tax returns
- Implement and enhance internal controls and financial processes
- Leverage NetSuite for process optimization and accurate reporting
Experience & skills
- Strong commercial acumen and interest in business performance improvement
- Proven experience in finance roles within project-based or software businesses
- Expertise in IFRS and revenue recognition, particularly IFRS 15
- Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables and lookups
- Experience implementing ERP systems and improving internal controls
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Previous use of NetSuite ERP is desirable
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working to tight deadlines
- Comfortable with stakeholder engagement at all levels
- Flexible, self-motivated, and adaptive to high-change environments
- Willingness to travel occasionally
