Aluminium, steel, concrete, stone, glass and timber all show up in the building envelopes this Senior Façade Engineer designs for Buro Happold in Riyadh. Medium-sized projects are yours to lead, with senior technical leaders available where needed. Designs start from client requirements, architectural concepts or remediation proposals and develop into details, performance specifications, calculations and tender documentation. Weather performance, building physics, structural movement, glass design and passive fire protection all shape the solution. Contractor submissions, shop drawings, samples, mock-ups and test results come to you for review. Site visits check installation, workmanship and compliance across systems such as unitised and stick curtain walling, rainscreen and precast. CWCT, EN, ASTM and AAMA standards sit alongside Saudi Building Code requirements throughout design, procurement and testing. Bids, design competitions and mentoring junior engineers are part of the job too. Candidates need a degree in a relevant engineering or architecture discipline, strong AutoCAD skills and Revit experience, with chartership desirable and an MSc in Facade Engineering an advantage.
