Job description
Microsoft is seeking a Copilot Solution Engineer to accelerate AI transformation by leading technical engagements that drive adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio & Agents, and related AI productivity solutions. This deeply technical role owns the technical win strategy, delivers demos, conducts envisioning sessions, and ensures governance, security, and compliance are embedded in every customer conversation. The Solution Engineer will build confidence with customers, overcome blockers, design solutions, and collaborate with partners and consulting teams to achieve business outcomes. The role emphasizes operational excellence, continuous learning, and strong cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable customer success.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Maintain expert-level knowledge in Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio & Agents, and AI-powered productivity solutions
- Lead technical engagements with customers through discovery, demo, and whiteboarding sessions
- Build competitive strategy by identifying product differentiators and proactively addressing objections
- Lead solution design and proof of concept efforts to quantify business impact
- Escalate and resolve technical blockers while guiding customers through resolution paths
- Engage in partner sell-with scenarios by co-owning technical execution and sharing expertise
- Apply governance, security, and compliance standards in all technical conversations
- Support seamless handoffs to deployment teams while ensuring alignment with business goals
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting
- L200 consultative and L400 technical certifications (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of technical pre-sales, consulting, or technology delivery experience preferred
- 4+ years experience with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures and migrations
- Certifications in Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect/Development, Cloud Platform, or Information Security
- Hands-on experience with M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio
- Proficiency in architecture design, compliance, and industry standards
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
