Job description
Resicom+, Al-Futtaim Real Estate's residential and commercial arm, relies on this Senior Design Manager in Dubai to take architectural projects from brief to building permit and beyond. Support for the Director of Architecture on design strategy is part of the role, though most days are spent running the design process independently. That process covers brief preparation, consultant appointments, technical reviews, concept design, tender and construction documentation and procurement. Coordination spans architectural, interior, landscape, structural, MEP and infrastructure disciplines, and site complexities need handling as they arise. Delivering on time or earlier and within budget is expected, with cost, quality and time savings tracked closely. Risk often comes from uncertainty between stakeholders, and clearing it up early is part of your job. Templates and repeatable processes for complex tasks are yours to build as well. Executive management expects clear, persuasive presentations. The role suits an architect with a bachelor's degree, at least 12 years in design and management, ideally with leading local developers, and solid knowledge of UAE local requirements and regulations.

- Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including through site and procurement complexities
- Coordinate architectural, interior, landscape, structural, MEP and infrastructure disciplines
- Stay current with architectural trends and practices
Experience & skills
- Hold at least a bachelor's degree in Architecture
- Bring at least 12 years of experience in design and management roles, preferably with leading local developers
- Demonstrate extensive experience managing residential and commercial office projects
- Understand coordination across architectural, interior, landscape, structural, MEP and infrastructure disciplines
- Show strong project management and delivery within budget and timeline constraints
- Possess in-depth knowledge of architectural practices with a focus on user experience and technical efficiency
- Present design proposals persuasively to executive management
- Apply familiarity with UAE local requirements and regulations
