Job description
The role synthesizes business insights, industry trends, and deep technical knowledge to act as a virtual Chief Technical Officer for large-scale or high-impact customer organizations. It drives technology strategy formulation, digital transformation execution, and long-term technology and business roadmaps leveraging Microsoft cloud services, Industry Sales Kits, Solution Plays, Zero Trust security models, and the AI and Industrial Metaverse capabilities. The position requires orchestrating global and cross-functional teams, conducting forecasting, managing opportunity pipelines, creating enablement plans, reviewing feasibility of technical requirements, and mapping customer business objectives to Microsoft technology platforms. It delivers industry and technology briefings, maintains MSX D365 account plans, drives consumption-heavy workloads, supports MCEM lifecycle stage progression, manages blocker identification, partners with global engineering, and builds technical architectures aligned with Microsoft cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise adoption frameworks. The strategist supports complex customer issues, produces differentiated value propositions versus competitor technologies, conducts stakeholder mapping, forecasts business performance markers, and ensures adherence to regulatory, security, and governance expectations across account engagements.

- Apply deep industry and technology insights to inform Industry Sales Kits and partner development
- Synthesize business and industry insights to conduct forecasting and shape account strategy
- Develop differentiated value propositions positioning Microsoft solutions versus competitors
- Lead customer business transformations using Microsoft digital technologies
- Deliver regular industry and technology briefings to technical decision-makers
- Create enablement plans using readiness resources for large-scale customers
- Establish best practices for complex account planning and coordinate extended account teams
- Map technical requirements and business scenarios to Microsoft technology platforms
- Orchestrate internal teams and partners to ensure sufficient technical resources for demand generation
- Lead Account Strategy Envisioning sessions to generate and drive new opportunities
- Create mid- and long-term multi-horizon technology and business roadmaps for strategic accounts
- Lead resolution of technical blockers and drive technology adoption across cloud workloads
- Act as the voice of the customer and provide insights to internal engineering and product teams
- Drive security thought leadership using the Microsoft Security and Zero Trust narratives
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field
- Bring 6–12 years of technical consulting, technical sales, business consulting, or practice-building experience
- Have experience driving digital transformation and using technology to deliver customer business outcomes
- Demonstrate industry-specific experience in customer verticals
- Show ability to create technology roadmaps and align business scenarios with cloud solutions
- Possess strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud architecture, AI, and cybersecurity narratives
- Exhibit capability in account planning, forecasting, and opportunity initiation
- Maintain strong communication skills for engagement with senior executives and technical decision-makers
