Job description
The Graphic Communication Specialist for IKEA Qatar is responsible for implementing and maintaining IKEA’s graphic communication standards in alignment with IKEA manuals, brand identity guidelines, and visual identity systems. The role involves installing and overseeing the correct application of the IKEA Trade Name and Word Mark, planning and executing graphic solutions that clearly communicate product features and solutions across all in-store areas, and performing daily and weekly quality checks to ensure accuracy of translations, pricing, and compliance with IKEA visual standards. The specialist collaborates with sales and in-store logistics teams through structured work brief processes to support commercial activities, sales targets, and the store’s activity calendar. Responsibilities include producing signage, posters, notice boards, office furnishing communication, and maintaining consistent graphic communication in sales and support areas. The role requires a strong understanding of Com-In manuals, market and competitor awareness, and the ability to adjust graphics in line with commercial changes, all with strict adherence to IKEA’s brand standards.

- Install the IKEA Trade Name and Word Mark and ensure alignment with the IKEA Trademark Manual and company policy.
- Plan and execute graphic solutions to communicate IKEA product features across all in-store areas.
- Perform daily and weekly checks on graphic display implementation to ensure consistency, translation accuracy, and adherence to IKEA visual identity and pricing standards.
- Collaborate with Sales and in-store logistics teams using the work brief process to implement graphics supporting sales targets and commercial activities.
- Implement graphic communication materials such as signage, posters, notice boards, and office furnishing displays in alignment with IKEA standards.
- Plan and execute graphic changes as directed by the GD Leader, ensuring alignment with the store’s commercial calendar.
- Develop a deep knowledge of Graphic Com-In manuals, guidelines, and IKEA communication principles to improve professional competence.
- Monitor local market trends and competitor activities to enhance customer perception and support IKEA’s positioning in the market.
Experience & skills
- Degree or diploma in graphic design.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in graphic design.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience using sign making equipment and Macintosh graphic software.
- Ability to adhere strictly to IKEA graphic standards and brand identity guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent command of English; Arabic is preferred.
