Job description
Egis is seeking a Site Traffic Management Supervisor responsible for implementing and supervising temporary traffic diversions, coordinating TTM crews, ensuring on-site safety, and maintaining compliance with QWZTMG standards and project specifications. The STMS serves as the operational link between field teams and traffic engineers, supporting incident response, monitoring traffic flows, and ensuring minimal disruption during roadworks or emergencies.

Key responsibilities
- Supervise implementation, modification, and decommissioning of temporary traffic diversions as per approved TDPs
- Ensure proper placement and maintenance of traffic control devices, signage, cones, barriers, and delineators
- Coordinate with site crews for daily task allocation and safety compliance
- Conduct pre-deployment checks of materials, vehicles, and equipment
- Monitor diversion routes for safety and obstruction-free conditions
- Respond to incidents or emergencies, assisting with road closures and traffic redirection
- Maintain accurate daily logs of activities, crew attendance, materials used, and incidents
- Report deficiencies, safety violations, or damaged equipment to the Traffic Engineer
- Interface professionally with on-site stakeholders including contractors, police, and the public
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE and traffic safety standards
Experience & skills
- High School Certificate minimum; Diploma/Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
- Certification in Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) or Work Zone Safety is mandatory
- Training in Road Safety, Traffic Diversion Plan (TDP) implementation, and HSE awareness preferred
- Valid Qatar driver’s license
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in traffic control, temporary traffic management, or highway maintenance supervision
- Proven experience supervising teams during TDP implementation, road closures, or emergency response
- Practical knowledge of QWZTMG, Ashghal TTM guidelines, and HSE practices
- Strong leadership, coordination, analytical, and reporting skills
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication abilities
