Job description
AlUla's infrastructure and development projects sit at the center of this Senior Electrical Engineer role, where oversight, coordination and construction supervision support for electrical works fall under the position's remit. Works must be executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, applicable Saudi regulations such as the Saudi Building Code, authority requirements, international standards including IEC, IEEE, NFPA and BS, project quality requirements, and approved construction programmes. You will work closely with the Resident Engineer, Project Manager, contractors, supervision consultants, designers, utility providers including SEC, authorities and other engineering disciplines to facilitate delivery, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical infrastructure. Senior technical oversight covers construction, testing, commissioning and handover stages, with drawings, specifications, method statements, material submissions, shop drawings, and technical proposals checked for compliance with project requirements. Installation of HV/MV/LV networks, substations, transformers, switchgear, and distribution systems gets monitored throughout, alongside coordination with civil, utilities, roads, architectural, mechanical, and ICT disciplines. Interfaces with the Saudi Electricity Company and other utility providers and authorities are coordinated as required, and technical and authority approvals get supported alongside the Project Manager and Resident Engineer. Contractor progress against the approved programme is tracked to flag electrical activities that could affect milestones or critical interfaces. Testing and commissioning activities are monitored to confirm inspections, tests and documentation are complete before handover, and snagging and punch-list items are reviewed through to closure.
