The Mid Market Team Lead role at Deliveroo in Dubai operates within the food delivery marketplace and food-tech industry, focusing on driving growth and success for mid-market restaurant partners ranging from local establishments to national chains. The role sits within the Commercial and Account Management team, which leverages data-driven analytics and industry knowledge to provide strategic consulting and best-in-class support to partners. The position is responsible for leading and developing a team of Account Managers, setting performance expectations, and managing portfolio performance using data analysis and performance management frameworks. The role involves defining and owning the segment strategy for the mid-market portfolio, identifying growth opportunities and risks, and executing revenue growth strategies. It requires hands-on involvement in commercial negotiation with top-tier or complex partners to secure optimal outcomes for both the business and partners. The Team Lead drives adoption of Deliveroo’s suite of business optimization tools and features, enabling partners to improve operational performance and growth. The role ensures operational excellence through consistent performance reviews, scaling best practices, and maintaining portfolio consistency. It requires strong understanding of restaurant marketplace dynamics, food-tech platforms, and the drivers of partner growth, as well as expertise in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. The role also involves working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, contributing to scaling account management and sales processes, and leveraging data-led decision making to influence segment-wide strategies and outcomes.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of Account Managers by setting clear priorities, managing performance, and developing capabilities to achieve business objectives
- Define and own the growth strategy for the mid-market segment by identifying opportunities and risks using data-driven analytics
- Conduct and lead commercial negotiations with top-tier or complex partners to secure optimal outcomes and drive revenue growth
- Drive adoption and implementation of Deliveroo’s suite of business optimization tools to enhance partner performance and operational efficiency
- Manage portfolio performance through regular performance reviews and apply performance management frameworks to ensure consistency
- Analyze restaurant marketplace trends and partner performance data to inform strategic decisions and segment-wide initiatives
- Maintain strong partner relationship management across mid-market restaurant partners including local and national chains
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align strategies and execute commercial initiatives
- Scale best practices across the team to improve operational excellence and ensure consistent execution across the portfolio
- Support scaling of account management and sales processes within a high-growth and fast-paced food-tech environment
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate significant experience in a commercial role with proven track record of managing and developing teams
- Demonstrate strong understanding of restaurant marketplace dynamics and drivers of partner growth within food delivery or food-tech platforms
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with ability to lead high-level commercial negotiation and strategic discussions
- Demonstrate proficiency in data-driven analytics and performance management for decision making
- Demonstrate experience in stakeholder management with ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners
- Demonstrate experience in account management, sales processes, or scaling commercial operations in high-growth environments
- Demonstrate familiarity with UAE or Middle East restaurant and food-tech landscape as a preferred qualification
